crank

crank

plug the cranked up volume
unravel the vocal’s wire
grasp the vocals acquire
never in tune

fluctuating tonal room
slower tempo and pitches higher
desiring a tuned choir
and timbres of croon

this range is a phase
let me repair, pair it off
from this rank to that rank

with age goes the range
tear, barer play it off
be bold and crank

That Snape Guy

Snape+wand**SPOILER ALERT TO ANYONE STILL READING THROUGH THE HARRY POTTER SERIES FOR THE FIRST TIME**

So if I am honest, I have a pretty unhealthy obsession with that Snape guy. To the point where one of my closest friends didn’t even have to think twice of what to get me as a souvenir from London when she went on her honeymoon.

There are many things about this Snape guy that I find appealing. But, firstly, let me start with what is unappealing, mainly his dying in the 7th book. I was so devastated. I had to put the book down. And make a long distance call to my cousin on the other side of the globe to discuss my angst with this narrative turn. It was gut-wrenching. Or throat-slitting, in this case.

So, like many fans who cannot accept the fate that J.K. Rowling has bestowed upon Mr.Snape, I turned to “fan fiction”. And I say turned, because I enjoy lying to myself, because I still presently peruse fan fiction sites to see other people’s take on how that Snape guy managed to thwart his untimely demise.

I suppose I could delve into my personal theory, however I do not know how much patience you have as a reader, so I will spare you from missing anything important that I have to say by letting you know that anything in italics is probably just more of my own conspiracy theories revolving the death of Severus Snape. Which means you can safely skip past these sections of this log. (TBC)

everywhere

everywhere

beyond city lights and man made landscapes
further down the blueish skyline
opposite the snowbanks and forest
over the hill and into the evergreen’d wood

westward pathways, rocky, darkened caves
eastward, mossy, broken houses
northern mists from vapor trails
to southern wayward waterfalls

left by the cornfield
right at the darkened road
up to the cloud lies
downpour of rain fall

slippery slithering sins
whispered in whistles of wind

Let It Be Me Everly Brothers Cover

I think it sounds better now that A) It’s on an acoustic and B) It’s in the proper key, lol. Apologies once more to the Everly Brothers #SorryICantSing

Sorry I Can’t Sing

SORRY I CAN’T SING!

However, I did want to test out the Audacity program with my AT2020 + Yamaha Guitalele  on Windows 10. Apologies to the Everly Brothers for butchering their classic, but at least I know that the equipment still works on a new OS, lol?

Valley Serene

VALLEY SERENEIMG_20150903_154047

walk with me on a valley of flatlines
steer us away from the shrouds of crowds
stay with me on this mountain of pastimes
dream with me on these billowing clouds

these deadlines grow narrow and time will not yield
to our weary feet and these tempered missteps
whose tempos have harrowed and yet to reveal
how our souls have circled in vortex perplexed

grow with me like an aged tree
whose branches and leaves tumultuously fall
through wind and rain, your company
will weather strengthen my weakest resolve

our roots intertwine in this soil, unclean
by the river and streams of our valley serene

Fate’s Reverie

FATE’S REVERIE

The sentiments of fates unrestored
Along the rapid waves, faiths have changed
Through mindless states of sanity reformed
Among the jagged lengths of stories staged

These words that wander from wedge to wedge
Their letters and numbers have failed to transmit
The truth’s been sentenced without a pledge
Roughage and scrappings for paragraphs encrypt’d

Weaving lies beneath more lies
The stories surprise poor truth’s demise
From dreamy eyes true glimpses lie
These lies are unwise to feign surprise

The reality from this fantasy purged
Whilst to reverie does fate submerge

The Tentative Score (another WIP)

TENTATIVE SCORE (another WIP)

I composed this on a whim for a film competition as an undergraduate at DLSU-M. It was a Siemen’s competition, those who participated were given the latest cell phone by Siemens and were asked to make a short film with it. I believe I just shot random people along my commute to and from campus, then recorded this on (literally) my piano, then did some minor post-production and embedded this song as the track so that I wouldn’t have to deal with shady dialogue recording and audio imbalance, haha. It almost (almost) sounds like an old recording. I will say that this was circa 2003-2004.

I’ve been thinking of reworking this, I’ve come up with a bit of an extension but, as usual, I can’t seem to finish the things I start.

CONVOY TRAIN: TENTATIVE THEME

This is a tentative theme that’s a work in progress for a screenplay that is also a work in progress, lol.
